An anaesthesiologist with diverse interests and over 30 years of experience. A current member of multiple professional orders and associations.
During his anesthesiology studies at Université Laval in Québec, he had the honor of being appointed chief resident of the university’s anesthesiology program. In 1993, Dr. Dubé began his practice in the anesthesiology department at the Lanaudière Regional Hospital Center. He has enthusiastically and determinedly committed himself to various aspects of care management. He has served as department head, supervised the preoperative assessment clinic, established the postoperative analgesia service, and developed several care protocols, including the introduction of continuous blocks for postoperative analgesia.
In 2012, he obtained registration with the French National Medical Council and served as an intensivist in an anesthesiology and intensive care department in Martinique. Always ready to take on challenges, he took a sabbatical year in 2017 to fulfill a lifelong dream: crossing the Atlantic Ocean aboard his sailboat, “OUI-CHÉRIE.” His commitment to safety earned him recognition from the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). In the middle of the ocean, he and his crew participated in the rescue of another vessel. This impactful experience strengthened his conviction to prioritize safety in all his professional activities.
Upon his return to Quebec, continually striving for improvement, he completed a subspecialty training in transesophageal cardiac ultrasound (TEE) at the Montreal Heart Institute and subsequently organized training sessions at his center.
His deep commitment to professional excellence and superior quality care is reflected in an innovative approach that integrates the latest techniques in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. This initiative aims to implement a cutting-edge anesthesiology strategy, covering all aspects of perioperative care at ISOMED.
