Dr. Amélie Bourget graduated from the Université de Montréal in 2002, where she pursued her specialty in plastic surgery. In 2007, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. She then completed a one-year subspecialty fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the renowned Chang Gung Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan, under the direction of Professor Fu Chan Wei. During this time, she developed a strong interest in facial and breast reconstruction for patients who had undergone cancer removal.
Dr. Amélie Bourget has been practicing at Charles-LeMoyne Hospital since 2008. As head of the department, she has brought together a dynamic and versatile team of plastic surgeons. She treats patients with deformities resulting from cancer treatment as well as those who have suffered trauma to the face, hands, legs, or nerves.
Charles-LeMoyne Hospital is affiliated with the Université de Sherbrooke, where Dr. Bourget serves as an assistant clinical professor and actively contributes to the training of medical students and residents.
